About Me

Hey everyone! In case you haven’t figured it out, this is my blog to chronicle my goal of losing weight and ultimately living a healthier life that I can maintain for the rest of my life.

The Blogger

I’m a rising sophomore in college at a school in Boston. I’m studying biology and psychology and I’m pre-med. That doesn’t mean I’m a doctor or that I’m qualified to give medical advice. I’m just like most of you, doing the best I can to lose weight and be healthy with the support of everyone else out there :)

The Plan

I eat between 1300-2000 calories a day, depending on how much I exercise.

I snack. I don’t specifically skip meals, but my lunch may actually consist of a 200-300 calorie meal supplemented by smaller snacks.

I’m a really picky eater. I always have been, I always will be. Sometimes, I eat crap foods. 

I swam intensely for 7 years before I tore my labrum at the end of my junior year. Swimmers eat so many carbs they crave carbs and only carbs. I do try really hard to eat out side the grain-box, but old habits die hard.

My workouts vary, which is perfect for me because I get bored easily. I run, swim, do the elliptical, weight train, and strength train. But my favorite way to exercise is group classes. BodyJam and BodyPump actually have me looking forward to working out.

My goal isn’t to be so skinny that my bones stick out. My goal BMI is 21.5, exactly in the middle of the healthy weight range. I don’t want to be underweight. I don’t even want to be skinny. I just want to be happy.

Goal Weight 1: 169.5 = New Sports Bra

Goal Weight 2: 164.4 = Sims 3

Goal Weight 4: 154.7 = New clothes for school

Ultimate Goal Weight: 150 

All my goals are a 3% drop from the previous goal.

The Blog

The main point of me having a weight loss blog is, like I said before, to keep myself on track. Everyday I’ll post my CW and what I ate for the day, start to finish, occasionally with pictures. Every week, I’ll post my measurements, because weight loss for me is just as much, if not more, about how my body looks as how much I weigh. You’ll also sometimes see my thoughts for the day. Emotions go hand-in-hand with eating, so I think it’s important to vent instead of turning to food, as well as monitor my mood and how it related to my eating habits. To keep it interesting, I’ll also post quotes, workouts, recipes, articles, and some thinspo. I’m only going to follow weight-loss blogs on this account, and if I like your blog/mission I’ll follow you back. My personal blog is mainly a photography blog, but it also has some of my thoughts.
